What to expect when you come for physical therapy
You’ll want to wear comfortable clothes to your first visit. Please plan to arrive about fifteen minutes early to register, and bring your doctor’s referral and insurance card if you have them.
A licensed Physical Therapist will show you to an exam room and will give you a thorough physical evaluation. This will include:
- a detailed history of your condition
- pain and strength measurements, measurements to be taken include but are not liited to ROM, strength and pain level
- specific tests to help identify any particular problem areas that will need to be addressed with treatment.
Based on this evaluation, your physical therapist will develop a treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. The treatment plan will be explained to you, and any questions you might have will be answered.
Each patient’s situation is different, and every patient is unique. Your personalized treatment plan is the key to your successful rehabilitation.
How often will you be seen?
